Who We Are — MoMs

MoMs (Mothers on the Mount) is a Christian organization made up of past VP Ladies of the Bible Study Union (BSU)—a ministry of the Sierra Leone Fellowship of Evangelical Students (SLEFES) at Fourah Bay College, Mount Aureol, Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Rooted in a shared spiritual legacy, MoMs was birthed in April 2021, when the heart of one of the past VP Ladies was stirred to rally fellow past leaders for a divine assignment: to mentor the current BSU Ladies.

We believe that mentorship is a form of discipleship, and discipleship is a mandate from our Lord Jesus Christ. To teach, to train, to walk together, and to pray—these are not just actions, but a way of life that reflects the heart of Christ for His people.

Over the past years, the journey has been remarkable. From intentional prayers to practical support, God has moved powerfully among us. And we believe this is just the beginning.

Our Mission Statement

We exist to empower young ladies through intentional mentorship that builds Spiritual Growth, confidence, resilience, and leadership. Our goal is to cultivate a supportive community where ladies can boldly explore their passions, unlock their potential, and navigate life’s challenges with strength and purpose.

By offering guidance, inspiration, and shared experiences, we equip the next generation of women with the tools they need to thrive and lead—both in their communities and beyond.

Together, we’re shaping a future where every young lady knows her worth, embraces her unique journey, and walks forward with courage.

Our Vision

Our vision is to empower and equip young ladies through intentional mentorship, discipleship, and godly example—inspired by Titus 2:4–5 (NLT):

"These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God."

We are committed to raising women who live wisely, walk in purity, serve faithfully, and reflect the beauty of Christ in every area of life—home, church, and society.

Through prayer, teaching, and walking alongside them, we strive to see transformed lives and Christ-centered homes that honor God and inspire others.
